The Role:

Business Development Manager

For this position we are looking for a Business Developer for the USA and Canada region. You know what it takes to be a strategic partner for your (new) customers and how to help them with specific issues, without losing sight of the interests of your own organization. As a Business Developer, you will realize the growth objectives of the organization. For this, you will use the existing network of the organization and look for new opportunities to inspire prospects with our innovative products and services. To be successful, you look at the trends and developments in our market, and of course, the market of your customers. This allows you to provide them with advice that aligns with their ambitions."

You are energized by traveling and understand that being present with your clients is necessary in order to truly understand which solutions will help them. You also share experiences, tips, and tricks with colleagues in order to achieve maximum results.

You will be based at our headquarters in Sittard, the Netherlands, and will travel to the USA and Canada for approximately two weeks each month. You will also be in close contact with our colleague in the USA. Due to the time difference, your working hours in the Netherlands will be from 10:00 to 19:00, with some flexibility.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategize: Creating a Strategic Sales Plan to achieve your objectives.
  • Engage: Proactively approaching Key Accounts and Prospects to explore and realize opportunities.
  • Guide: Guiding the quotation process from start to finish.
  • Collaborate: Active role during team meetings to brainstorm how things can be even stronger.
  • Travel: Approximately 50% of your time will be spent traveling to your (new) clients.
  • Learn: Self-development in technical knowledge, market trends, and developments.

 

What You Will Need:

  • You are results-oriented with a strong growth mindset
  • You are strong in time management and know how to distinguish between important and less important matters
  • You have extensive experience working with CRM systems
  • You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • You have a strong affinity for the Electro and/or Agricultural sector
  • Strong communication skills in the English language
