Knowledge sharing, innovation, and international collaboration are essential drivers of a more sustainable and productive agricultural industry. Earlier this year, these values came together through a unique collaboration between Fundación Salva Terra, Dutch Agribusiness Worldwide (DAW), and several Dutch agricultural innovators, including HATO Agricultural Lighting.
A Colombian-Dutch collaboration for agricultural knowledge sharing
The initiative began when Fundación Salva Terra, a Colombian organisation dedicated to promoting agricultural development through education and fair trade opportunities, partnered with TV Agro, one of Latin America's leading agricultural media platforms. With television broadcasts reaching 18 countries and a YouTube community of more than two million subscribers, the organisation launched a documentary series focused on leadership, technological innovation, and sustainable development in agriculture.
Exploring Dutch innovation in sustainable agribusiness
As part of this project, Fundación Salva Terra visited the Netherlands to explore the country's globally recognised agribusiness ecosystem and showcase examples of innovation that are helping shape the future of food production. Through the support of Dutch Agribusiness Worldwide, the foundation connected with a network of Dutch companies known for their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and industry leadership
Among the participating organisations was HATO Agricultural Lighting, where the documentary team had the opportunity to gain insight into the role of lighting technology in modern livestock production. During the visit, discussions focused on how precision lighting can contribute to animal welfare, farm management, and production efficiency while supporting a more sustainable agricultural sector.

HATO’s role in advancing global knowledge exchange
At HATO, we strongly believe that knowledge becomes more valuable when it is shared. Collaborations such as this documentary project create opportunities to connect farmers, producers, researchers, and industry professionals across continents. By opening our doors to international audiences, we can help demonstrate how practical innovations developed in the Netherlands can support livestock producers worldwide.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to education and the exchange of agricultural knowledge. Together, we are helping build bridges between regions, encouraging dialogue, and inspiring the adoption of technologies that contribute to a more sustainable future for agriculture.
