More Milk, Less Effort: How RUDAX Boosts Dairy Production by Up to 14%!

Milk production isn’t just about nutrition, genetics, or farm management - lighting is the missing piece that’s often overlooked. At HATO, we’ve spent decades perfecting animal lighting, and our latest research uncovers a breakthrough that could transform dairy farming:

Dairy cows exposed to optimized light schedules produced up to 14% more milk!

How Does It Work?

You may have heard about the impact of lighting on livestock before, but this research takes things a step further. We conducted an in-depth study on Dutch dairy farms, testing different lighting setups - including our advanced RUDAX spectrum - to see how it influences milk production, consistency, and even cow well-being.

The results:

  • A significant increase in daily milk yield per cow
  • Better lighting conditions led to improved comfort and productivity
  • No trade-offs in milk quality - just more milk, naturally

14% more milk, happy dairy cows

The Research Breakdown

Our trial involved 120-150 Holstein Friesian cows under various lighting conditions. Each setup was carefully monitored to measure:

  • Daily milk yield
  • Milk composition (fat, protein, lactose)
  • Overall cow behavior and well-being

The biggest breakthrough? Our RUDAX lighting schedule delivered up to 14% more milk production compared to traditional lighting systems. Even better, the results were consistent across different lactation stages, meaning both younger and older cows benefited from optimized lighting.

Why This Matters for Dairy Farmers

Higher milk yields mean better efficiency and profitability, all while keeping animal welfare at the forefront. By fine-tuning lighting schedules and spectrums, farmers can tap into science-backed, stress-free productivity gains.
